Joining the Library

You can join at any age but if you are 15 or under you will need to ask your Parent/Carer or someone over 18 in your family to sign it to say it’s OK for you to join.
A Birmingham Library membership can be applied for online or at any Birmingham Library.

To sign up at your local Library simply collect a form from the library and fill it in. Then return the completed form and they will give you a free library card which you can use straightaway.

If you are 16 or over, you must provide one proof of name and address. If you are a student studying in Birmingham you will need to provide both proof of your home address and proof of your temporary address. If you wish to take DVDs or CD-Roms your card will be posted to you.
