Joining the Library

You can join at any age but if you are 15 or under you will need to ask your Parent/Carer or someone over 18 in your family to sign it to say it’s OK for you to join.
A Birmingham Library membership can be applied for online or at any Birmingham Library.

To sign up at your local Library simply collect a form from the library and fill it in. Then return the completed form and they will give you a free library card which you can use straightaway.

You can join online by clicking the link below and following the instructions.

If you are 16 or over, you must provide one proof of name and address. If you are a student studying in Birmingham you will need to provide both proof of your home address and proof of your temporary address. If you wish to take DVDs or CD-Roms your card will be posted to you.
